Cotton Market 3 to 21 Points Lower

Cotton futures are 3 to 21 points lower this morning. On Wednesday, July futures closed at 61.66 cents/lb after a 138 point drop. The other front months were 23 to 41 points lower. Equities were lower on Wednesday, and the dollar was stronger. The Seam reported 3,041 bales sold at an average gross price of 56.79 cents/lb on Tuesday. The week’s total sales are at 4,168 bales. CmdtyView’s national average spot price for cotton was $0.5809/lb on June 23. The Cotlook A index was still 68.45c/lb with no change on June 23. The AWP for cotton for the week is 48.87 cents/lb. LDP is 3.13 cents. Both will be updated after the close.
